The surgeons at The Maryland Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery perform a wide variety of procedures in the office and in the hospital. Training beyond dental school involves a four to six year residency that incorporates extensive training in anesthesia administration, including local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, intravenous sedation and general anesthesia. We use these methods of anesthesia appropriately, competently and safely in our office to meet the unique requirements of the patient and the procedure. Office-based surgery is often the most efficient and cost effective way to perform many procedures while maintaining maximum patient comfort and safety.
